1965 Sunbeam Tiger Convertible.
All original 28,000 mile Unrestored 1965 Sunbeam Tiger, aka the “Baby Cobra”.
This numbers matching Tiger is wearing most of its original Carnival Red paint.
Features a set of rare original LAT 9 wheels, mounted on original UniRoyal Tiger Paw bias-ply redline tires that were put on the car in 1968 since the original owner had to have Tiger Paws on her Tiger.
Sunbeam Tiger Owners Association certificate of authenticity.
It also comes with a new full set of modern Mini-lite style wheels and tires for driving.
The glass including the windshield is beautiful original Triplex, date coded from 1964.
Includes an optional hardtop a folding soft top and a tonneau cover.
Shelby collector Wayne Curry found and bought this car from the original owner in 1983, when it had 24,000 original miles. The car was photographed and featured in an article in Muscle Cars magazine in 1993 which details it’s originality.
This Tiger is also the posterchild for Hagerty’s Definitive Sunbeam Tiger buyers guide.
The Ford 260 V8 is matching numbers and has never been out of the car. The car shows its original yellow stripe vacuum hose, and herringbone heater hoses, neither of which are available as reproductions. JAL tag, cowl tag rivets, and valve cover sticker are all undisturbed. The car retains its original Toploader transmisssion (HEH-E tagged), date coded bellhousing, date coded Dana 44 rear, date coded 2V carburetor etc. It has the Tiger specific fuel pump access door.
